PBL TERM 4

Hello and welcome back, fro this blog i will be talking to you guys about my P.B.L question. This term our P.B.L questions is How can I celebrate who i am.  Here are the sub questions for our P.B.L. Who am I, What is culture, How does culture contribute to who i am? and What type of ways to people celebrate culture. On my thought about our P.B.L driving question and the Sub Question were they were good fro us because we learn about other culture and what type of food to they eat and what to they normally celebrate.

READING CREATE TASK 2

This week for Reading our create task was to read a poem and write a comment on what it makes a visualise. Here is the poem that we had to read and here is my comment.

The winter evening settles down.

Comment: what this line makes me visualise is that it has just been snowing and that it has just came to a stop so that we could come out and play. Senses. The sense that this part of the poem makes me think of is touch and sight.Touch because you might be touching the snow wance the show storm has parsed. And sight because you might be inside looking out the window at the snow waiting for the storm to pass so that you can go outside and play

With smell of steaks in passageways.

Comment: what this line makes me visualise is that some of your friends have come round and that you are having a barbecue and that they are cooking steak of the barbecue for dinner and that it smells so good that it feels like it's taking you to some place else and it feels good. Senses. The senses that this part of the poem makes me thing of is smell and sight. The reason I picked smell because in the poem it says that the person can smell the steak on the barbecue.

Six o'clock.

The burnt-out ends of smoky days.
Comment: what this line makes me visualise is that their is a fire and that it's getting very bad and the firefighters have had to come and put it out and after they have put it out and have left. And a few days later it is still there and I could see all the wood on the house was burnt to the ground.
And now a gusty shower wraps.

The grimy scraps.

Of withered leaves about your feet.

And newspapers from vacant lots.

The showers beat.

On broken blinds and chimney-pots.

And at the corner of the street.

A lonely cab-horse steams and stamps.

And then the lighting of the lamps.

PBL WEEK 2 ACTIVITY

the first couple of weeks for P.B.L we got to make a recipe and some instructions to a game of the country that we got to pick but they way that we did this is that we got to pick out the bucket that went round the mat. the county that I got was mexico then once we got are county we had to do some research we had to pick a game or skill and a instructions to a game. I chose to do instructions to a skill that we got to write the game that I did is could FUTBOL. that's what they call it in football in mexico here is what i have written. this is a link to to the rules but i will give you a little description of the rules. so basically you cant use your hand on the other team get the ball you haft to make shore you don't fall them when you are tackling them or they get the ball for a free kick.The object of the game is to score goals in the other teams goal for point's to win the game. now i will talk to you about the recipe that we got to make and write ok so what we got to do is we got to pick a recipe from the county that we got then the next Friday we got to bring in the the recipe in to school for a shred lunch hers mine. here's the like to my recipe HERE --> LINK

PBL Term 3

In term 3 our PBL was braced on what will the future ask of us that was our driving question then we got to to grope's of 1-3 i went in a grope of 2 with my friend Josh we decided to make a city of the future we wonted to make it staled and dale to with stand natural deserters like storm's, flood's and lots more. so the is what we came up with here is our panflet that we were showing with  our main interface

THE BEST CAMP EVER

1. what I learnt at camp
At camp I learnt how to type sir ten nots at raft building to keep the logs attached to the barills so that they would float away in the water and from are raft that we got at least 35min to make. I also learnt how to make a stretcher out of two strate sticks and two raincoats
2. My favorite part of camp
My favorite part of camp was doing all the fun activities and meeting the instaters. my favrect ativate was costering at coasteering. At coasteering got to go round the coast climbing rocks and of course jumping of rocks it was so much fun. We got to do 4 jumps the first 3 jumps wasn't that big but the last jump was at least 7 meters well at least that is what the instructor said
3. What I am thankful for.
I am thankful for all the food that we got to eat at lunch and all the parents that put there hand’s up to come along to are school camp also thank you teachers that help fundraise all the munny that took us to the best camp ever but last but not least the instructors thank you for running the super fun activities
4. What I found challenging
What I found most challenging was high ropes I found this challenging because it was hard to climb the ladder because the gaps keeps getting bigger and bigger to the point where i just could not

 

my awesome narrative writing

In week 6 in writing we got set the task of writing a narrative on are PBL witch was what will the future ask of us. now onto the story my story was called The attack of the climate change the Characters were George & Steve

Setting In the city of everloshion (problem is climate change and that the sun is blowing up)
The attack of the climate change
It’s late at night in my modden house on 13 sky street, all of a sudden I get woken up by Large robot Cop car megger phones. (Evacuate your home’s this is not a drill head to center square for your own safety)
They said this motoball times. So I get in my car and make my way to center square when I get to the center square on top of the presidents building their is the biggest spaceship island thing that I have ever seen in the world” that I'm guessing can hold all of new zealand when i got their i could see there was a giant platforms conted to our home and then we got lifted into the giant spacecraft thing then I start to hear a siren. 5, 4 ,3 ,2 ,1 at this point in time I thought we were about to take off into the sky but there was a massive dome that went over us. A few hours later a sirin goss of then we here 10 ,9 ,8 ,7 ,6 ,5 ,4 ,3 ,2 ,1 and we have lift of knowing full well that they should have done a test flit before the full flite but they did not but thankfully it worked and we all wanted to know how we were going to live but i notest that my house was floating underneath the thing we were on so i go to the head of all of this and ask him. Hi steve how do I get to my house that is floating underneath this thing we are on. For you um you need to stand on the number 3849787 to enter you home. Ok thank you steve that’s all for now.

So I headed off to my number 3849787 where is my number i cant find it so i go back and ask were it is but just before I got back. Bang there was a gigantic nose so I started running as fast as I can but before I know it, I start to feel funny and then all of a sudden this big robot suit that comes and picks me up (a few hours later I wake up) um were am I
You are in the new and a proven space hospital cool but what happened um we have been hit with a strike of lightning.
Gosh, how are we going to fix it.
Um we are just rounding everyone up and bring them here to see if they are ok and then we need to send the robot suits up with a pane on reinforced titanium foresed glass.
Ok then.
But there is one problem
What
Um no one knows how to put the glass in.
Um your right thats a big problem also here's the thing i know how to put glass in i just don't know how to work the sute that I need

So for the last 5 week we have been teaching George hare to work the robot and we have sent him up and we have fixed the crack. To be continued.

my great science experiences of term 3

this term cycled through 4 rotations of science first we had to make a bridge that would withhold different object that were all different ways my bridge with hold all of them but the brink bottle that when it snapped here is my scientific method
